What are IP65 surface  mounted downlight?

For IP65, the IP stands for ingress protection. The 6 is the level of protection from dirt particles larger than 1mm. And the 5 is the level of protection from water splashes. So, the IP65 surface mounted downlight are 

surface mounted downlight designed for use in wet areas. They are IP-rated for protection from water jet spray and dust ingress. Some wet areas include bathrooms, showers, wet rooms or even outdoor. The surface 

mounted downlight SMD series is one of it.

The simple, cylindrical design of the SMD series which is a great low-profile addition to your outdoor awnings and covered walkways. Its cast aluminum body mounts to the ceiling and shines down through different 

optional color anti-glare cups for warm, not dazzling，ambient lighting. The light source is a single state-of-the-art CREE/CITIZEN COB chip that provides long-lasting, energy-efficient usage. 

SMD series are made of the die-casing aluminum, this material is lightweight, does not rust and attracts little or no dirt and dust. So you don't need to spend time as often to cleaning the spotlight.  The material which 

is maintenance-free aluminium has a matt-black, moisture-resistant and UV-resistant powder coating. This ensures that the spotlight does not fade and the coating does not flake off when exposed to moisture for a 

long time.
